Sage’s Army’s Message is a simple one; if someone close to you is struggling with drug addiction, offer support not discrimination. Addiction touches the lives of many families and friendships and we all have an obligation to listen and support those in need. When a friend or family member reaches out, do not judge, do not turn away, and do not hide. Instead, let the person know that you are there for them and will help them find the resources that they need. Drugs are invading our streets and killing our loved ones. We can fight the epidemic through understanding how addiction affects the lives of those we care about. And the only way to understand is to GET INVOLVED, listen to someone’s story, and provide encouragement for the individual to get and stay clean.
